Main Purpose of Job

Maintain the grounds at Camp Fretterd's various facilities.

POSITION DUTIES

Inspects assigned grounds for condition and performs immediate reaction to areas requiring immediate action.

Conducts work order repairs.

Makes minor repairs and alterations to buildings, (i.e. caulks and paint interiors and exteriors of buildings).

Assists in minor plumbing repairs, assists in furnace repairs.

Maintains tools, grass cutting equipment, snow removal equipment and vehicles.

Helps maintain facility cleanliness.

Position related duties as assigned or mission essential missions supporting the Maryland Military Department.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: None.

Experience: Six months of experience in the care and maintenance of grounds.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Employees appointed to positions in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Employees in this classification may be subject to call-in 24 hours a day and may be required to provide the employing agency with a telephone number where they can be reached.
