Main Purpose of Job

This position is a managerial position serving as Chief of the Program Analysis Unit with responsibilities for overseeing and/or performing functions related to cost accounting, Quality Assessment fee process management, MCO, Value Based Purchasing Incentive, Hospital Working Advance fund distribution, Negative Credit Balance reconciliation. This position will also be responsible for accounts receivable and payment functions and monitoring the receipt and disbursement of funds in accordance with all applicable rules, regulations and policies.


Requires a bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university, or a bachelor's degree with 30 credit hours in Accounting and related courses, including or supplemented by three credit hours in auditing. In addition, five years accountant experience manipulating accounts receivable/payable, financial statements, data analysis, advance payments and performing budget projections and including three years at a supervisory or management level.  

Applicants who have met the requirements for admission to the CPA examination prior to July 1, 1974 will be considered to have met the educational requirement referenced above. Possession of a certificate as a Certified Public Accountant or a master's degree in accounting from an accredited college or university may be substituted for one year of the required experience. Applicants may substitute one year of professional auditing experience for one year of the non-supervisory/management experience.


This is a Management Service position, and serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority.  A resume must accompany your application.
