Main Purpose of Job
The main purpose of this position is to conduct statewide epidemiological investigations of violent death incidents and to participate in the prevention and control of these injuries in Maryland. This position will serve as the Program Epidemiologist for the Maryland Violent Death Reporting System (MVDRS). This position tracks the progress of data collection activities, maintains the quality of and analyzes the MVDRS data, and generates written reports.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Responsibilities of this position include data analysis, preparation of data merges and data imports necessary to the operation of the Maryland Violent Death Reporting System (MVDRS), quality assurance, and preparation of data extracts in response to public requests. Therefore, experience with SAS is essential.
