Main Purpose of Job

The Director of Mental Health Services oversees the daily operations of the Outpatient Mental Health Clinic including supervising, coordinating and planning the administration and service delivery of the Mental Health Services Outpatient Mental Health Clinic and Elderly Outreach Services, as well as serve as the Public Information Division Representative.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified candidates must possess a master's degree from an accredited college or university, 6 years of professional health or human service experience, three of which must have been in professional work related to treatment and development of mentally ill patients, and four of which must have been at the managerial or supervisory level.

Candidates for this position must possess a LCSW-C for this position as it is the director of the Mental Health Clinic with Social Workers.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Candidates must be licensed as a Certified Social Worker or Certified Social Worker, Clinical by the Maryland State Board of Social Work Examiners prior to appointment to a position in State service.

SELECTION PROCESS

This is a Management Service position, and serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority.  A resume must accompany your application.
