Main Purpose of Job

This individual will work with Accountable Officers from the Workforce and Technology Center, Disability Determination Services, DORS field offices and DORS headquarters to ensure the accuracy of the Division's inventory. Duties will also include following established protocol for the disposal of surplus property, and the completion of the Department of General Services inventory forms. Minor duties, to include conference room setup and small maintenance projects, may be required.

POSITION DUTIES

This individual serves as the lead accountable officer, conducting statewide inspections, in coordination with the various Accountable Officers, to ensure the accuracy of sensitive and non-sensitive inventory owned by the Division of Rehabilitation Services.  This position will also coordinate and organize the pick-up and disposal of surplus property and complete the required Department of General Services inventory forms.  In addition, this position will assist with setups for meetings and conferences, order supplies and occasionally assist with general maintenance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience:

Two years experience in general services functions, office administration activities or in the receiving, storing, issuance, purchase or requisition of equipment, materials, and parts and supplies.

Note:

  1. Additional experience as stated above may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
  2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in logistics specialist classifications or administrative support specialty codes in the logistics field of work, on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and the ability to complete computerized forms; knowledge of the safe use and maintenance of power tools and equipment used to maintain buildings and grounds. Possession of valid State of Maryland driver's license.
