Main Purpose of Job

The Bureau Director for the Bureau of Family Health Services (FHS) is responsible for administering a budget of nearly $10 million comprised of County and State funds; directing a staff of approximately 100 clinical, managerial, clerical and service personnel located at several different facilities In the County; and assessing, planning, developing, implementing and evaluating nursing and other comprehensive programs devoted to linking residents with the health resources they need. FHS provides a number of public health services including Access to Care (REACH, ACC/EACC/Ombudsman, Healthy Start and Healthy Babies), WlC, Dental Health, and Eligibility and Enrollment (MCHP and MA Transportation and the Adult Evaluations Review Services/Nurse Monitoring program).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience: Five (5) years of professional experience in an administrative, supervisory, or consultative capacity in public health.

SELECTION PROCESS

This is a Management Service position, and serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority.  A resume must accompany your application.
