This Physician will provide medical management for patients who seek care in the TB/Refugee Health and Immunization Programs. This position will also provide consultation for general medical inquiries as needed within the Agency. These services tie directly to the mission of the Health Department which is to protect the public's health, assure access to quality health care and to promote individual and community responsibility for the prevention of disease and disability.

Education: Possession of a degree in Medicine from an accredited college or university.

Experience: As required for certification in an area of medical specialization by an American Medical Association Specialty Board.

1. Applicants must be certified by an American Medical Association Specialty Board in an area of medical specialization.

2. Applicants must be licensed by the Maryland Board of Physicians to practice medicine under Maryland State Law. A copy of the current license must be attached to the application.

Employees in this classification are subject to substance abuse testing in accordance with Code of Maryland Regulations 17.04.09, Testing for Illegal Use of Drugs.

This is a Special Appointment classification.  A resume must accompany your application.
