DHMH/Spring Grove Hospital Center, Catonsville, Maryland

The main purpose of this position is to provide plumbing and routine maintenance services to the Spring Grove Hospital Center (SGHC) and tenant occupied buildings at the advanced level of trade work, under the general supervision of the Maintenance Chief III or IV. This position does not supervise but may lead semi-skilled employees. This position is considered an Emergency Essential position required to have and maintain a valid Maryland Driver's License and able to drive a State Vehicle, in accordance to State of Maryland Policies and Procedures for Drivers of State Vehicles.

Education: Completion of the eighth grade.

Experience: Two years experience as a journeyman plumber, one year of which includes installing and repairing sanitary plumbing appliances.

Note: Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in utilities repair classifications or construction and engineering specialty codes in the plumbing field of work, on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

Possession of a Maryland Journeyman/Gas Fitter License is required.
