Unpaid Fall Intern - Maintenance Assistant

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) invites eligible candidates to apply for aninternship with Fishing and Boating/Somers Cove Marina). This opportunity will provide hands-on experience in the marine maintenance field.

LOCATION OF POSITION

Somers Cove Marina, Somerset County, Crisfield

Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is to assist Maintenance crew in winterizing the Marina.

The internship runs 8 weeks between October 15, 2025 to December 15, 2025. The specific start/end dates, hours, and schedule will be determined in collaboration between the intern and supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Applicant must be a current High School, College or GED graduate . A GPA of 2.5or above is required for academic credit.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Some basic knowledge of carpentry, electricity and plumbing.
