MPT internships offer a thorough introduction to Maryland Public Television including our mission and expectations. Maryland Public Television is committed to providing solid work experience to serious minded individuals in a positive environment. All MPT internships are unpaid. An internship that is not for academic credit is deemed a volunteer.

Main Purpose of Job
Maryland Public Television offers full- and part-time internships for college students throughout the year. Internships are specifically designed to provide training and experience for students interested in public broadcasting.
Qualified candidates must meet the following criteria:
Students must be a Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Graduate of a college, university, or trade school who must be able to commit to a minimum of 16 hours per week and have reliable transportation.
College Students and Volunteers

Please indicate in your cover letter if the internship is for academic credit or a volunteer. An internship that is not for academic credit is deemed a volunteer.
Academic letter from your school or professional recommendation from an instructor, internship coordinator, supervisor, etc.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Majors: Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Mass Communication, English, and Creative Writing
Interns will be evaluated based upon information submitted via this online application process and may be invited to interview.
