Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is to manage the Pharmacy Services Division including all aspects of the Claim Processing and Clinical Preauthorization/IV claims Section of the Medicaid Pharmacy Program by utilizing professional and clinical knowledge including clinical guidelines to ensure that the pharmacy services provided by the Program are medically necessary and appropriate, cost-effective, and readily accessible to Program participants. Oversight of the Pharmacy Services Division also includes call center operations and provider relations. This position also coordinates participants care with Clinical Services Divisions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified candidates must possess a Maryland Pharmacist license with 4 years of experience as a Registered Pharmacist with 2 years of Clinical pharmacy and/or pharmacy claims processing. 

The successful candidate should have training in advanced pharmacy practice in pharmacotherapy and perform data analytics in reimbursement methodologies.

This is a Management Service position, and serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority.  A resume must accompany your application.
