Introduction
This position serves as the Fiscal Administrator for the Maryland Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH). OAH is an independent unit within the executive branch of State government created to centralize and improve Maryland's administrative hearing process at a reduced cost to its citizens. Our mission is to provide due process for any person or business affected by the actions or proposed action of State agencies in a prompt and efficient manner.
The OAH is comprised of 118 positions. This position reports to the Director of Finance and Administration, and supervises two subordinate positions. We are located in Hunt Valley, MD, which is in Northern Baltimore County, approximately 20 miles north of Baltimore City. The office is accessible via major interstates and roadways, and is located adjacent to an MTA light rail stop. The position carries a full State benefit package, including free transportation on MTA public transit.
This is a Management Service position.
Current and former State employees who meet the minimum qualifications are encouraged to apply. Experience with Maryland accounting and budget systems, FMIS, year end close out, the Workday payroll and timekeeping system, and State personnel regulations is highly desirable.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field.
EXPERIENCE: Five years of progressively responsible experience in government budget, fiscal, or accounting work, preferably in Maryland State government.
