LOCATION OF POSITION
MDH, Talbot County Health Department, Easton, MD
Main Purpose of Job
This position will be responsible for the implementation of the Talbot County Early Head Start/Family Support Center's developmentally appropriate program for infants and toddlers under the age of four. This position will work to ensure that the program is operating in accordance with Federal performance standards, childcare licensing regulations, and meets the health and safety policies of the Talbot County Health Department.
Education: Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in nursing, social work, psychology, education, counseling or a related field.
Notes: 1. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in another field plus one year of professional experience in health services may be substituted for the specific degree.
2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Civil Affairs Specialist specialty codes in the health related field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The preferred candidate should possess a bachelor's degree with a major in Early Childhood Education or a related field with infant/toddler emphasis. The preferred candidate should also possess experience working with young children from age zero to three years old.
