Salary Information

Compensation plans are based on a multi-step progression system. The pay range reflects the entry level and maximum salary potential in the assigned pay grade.

**A starting salary may be negotiated and will be commensurate with education, training and experience in alignment with pay administration policies**

Nature of Work

The fundamental reason this position exists is to assist the mental health court in identifying participants and assisting clients assigned to the mental health court in complying with programs requirements.  Work responsibilities include assessment and research of possible participants, developing and recommending referrals, developing treatment and transitional plans, and maintaining data on programs and its participants.  This position reports to the Community Corrections Director.  This position also will work with the Mental Health Court Judge. 

Minimum Qualifications

Must have a Masters Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or a closely-related field and at least two (2) years of clinical counseling experience or a combination of education and experience.

 

NOTE:  Qualifying education, training and experience that provide the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job will be considered


 


Special Requirements

Must be willing to work with pre-trial or post-trial individuals who have various forms of mental illness.
