Salary Information
Compensation plans are based on a multi-step progression system. The pay range reflects the entry level and maximum salary potential in the assigned pay grade.
**A starting salary may be negotiated and will be commensurate with education, training and experience in alignment with pay administration policies**
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from a regionally accredited four-year college or university and four years of professional engineering experience in highway or bridge construction. Six years of qualifying professional work experience may substitute for the bachelor's degree. Professional Engineers license issued by the Alabama Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors preferred
Special Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid Alabama driver's license and an insurable driving record as needed to drive a Montgomery County vehicle in the performance of their duties. Must be willing to work overtime, occasionally on weekends, weekdays and holidays. Physical ability to walk long distances as needed to perform job duties.
