Facility Specialist (MCAC)

Compensation plans are based on a multi-step progression system. The pay range reflects the entry level and maximum salary potential in the assigned pay grade.

***This position is located at 147 Old School House Road, Grady, AL, in the southern part of Montgomery County. Driving to this location each day is considered reporting to work, and that the county does not provide mileage reimbursement for commuting. ***

NATURE OF WORK: The fundamental reason this classification exists is to perform participatory recreation work.  These full time positions are located at Montgomery County Parks and Recreation Community Centers.  Employees oversee the use of a recreation facility to include maintenance, scheduling, and documenting/reporting. The primary work responsibilities of this position are: performs reporting duties; monitors the facility; performs administrative duties; oversees recreation programs and activities in the facility; completes department forms, reports and records;  plans and schedules seasonal programs by estimation; actively leads recreation programs as needed; oversees/supervises rec aides and volunteers; and designs flyers, brochures and calendars of events in coordination with County Manager of Public Relations and Director of Parks and Recreation. The employee reports directly to the County Parks and Recreation Director.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:   High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of experience overseeing facilities and leading recreational programs.

 NOTE:  Qualifying education, training and experience that provide the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job will be considered.
