The Loudoun County Department of Health is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Senior Community Health Educator/Policy Coordinator in the newly created and growing Population Health Division.
Under the general direction of the division manager this critical position will:
The ideal candidate will have an understanding of public health and the principles and practices of health education and health promotion, health equity and social determinants of health, program implementation and evaluation, and evidence-based interventions. A successful candidate will have the ability to communicate and present ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, to various internal and external audiences, both in person and through various electronic media and a high level of skill in public speaking, presentations, and in communicating both verbally and in writing. The candidate will also have the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships internally, as well as with fellow employees, County officials, private and public providers, funding bodies, clients and stakeholders, and the public.
Hiring salary is commensurate with experience.
Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Education, Public Administration, or related area; three (3) years of directly related, progressively responsible work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid driver's license and good driving record (driving records may be reviewed annually for continued qualification); additional license if required by law for a position or assigned department. Pass pre-employment background checks, including fingerprinting and DMV checks.
