Are you a seasoned Public Benefits Specialist with a strong background in public benefits policy? Do you have experience in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Medicaid, and Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) and the federal and state mandates associated with these programs? If so, then consider a profession with the Loudoun County Department of Family Services as a Public Benefits Case Reviewer for the next chapter in your career.
The Loudoun County Department of Family Services is currently looking for talented and highly motivated candidates who are looking to work in a diverse, exciting, and fast paced work environment and have a desire to help Loudoun County residents receive timely and accurate benefits.
This position is responsible for advanced level work conducting case reviews of SNAP, TANF, and all Medical Assistance programs. This position will review cases for timeliness and accuracy, identify trends and causal factors of errors, make training recommendations and report review findings to leadership. Responsibilities also include verifying corrective actions are completed by the identified deadlines. This position will also assist in the facilitation of SNAP Management Evaluation Reviews, as well as state and regional reviews and audits. This position may provide occasional coverage for supervisors and may conduct initial and ongoing eligibility determinations. This position will be located in our Leesburg office and may be asked to work from other offices based on operational need.
The ideal candidate should have the following:
Hiring salary is commensurate with experience.
Bachelor's degree in related field; four (4) years of experience in public benefits/public assistance programs at the level of Public Benefits Program Specialist II or above; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
