Job Description

We're currently seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Building Services Coordinator. Under the general direction of the Operations Manager, this position coordinates the use of the center by patrons, oversees customer service and custodial operations, supervises operational staff, and provides additional support to other functions of the center. In addition to having strong leadership skills and flexibility, a successful candidate would also have effective communication skills. PRCS serves a diverse population including but not limited to youth, adults, individuals with disabilities, and seniors.

We are currently hiring at the following location: 

  • Claude Moore Recreation and Community Center, Sterling, VA

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Oversees budget, contractual services and maintains financial reports. 
  • Coordinates staffing of building services, recruiting, hiring, and training of new staff. 
  • Provides and oversees customer service. 
  • May perform other essential job functions specific to the position and department assignment.

Salary commensurate with experience

Job Requirements

Associate degree in Parks and Recreation or related field; two (2) years related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Special Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in janitorial service 
  • Skill in communicating both orally and in writing. 
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with patrons and staff. 
  • Ability to plan, assign, instruct, and supervise the work of others. 
  • Ability to resolve problems and conflicts.

Post Conditional Offer Contingencies

  • Criminal and DMV background checks. 
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record required (driving records may be reviewed annually for continued qualification). 
  • Hold or obtain First AID/CPR certifications at hire or within 4 months.
