The Loudoun County, Virginia Department of Building and Development (Department) is seeking an experienced professional to manage a team responsible for issuing building and zoning permits in conformance with the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code and the Loudoun County Zoning Ordinance(s).

The ideal candidate will be a clear and concise communicator, be organized, team oriented, and must show skills in establishing and maintaining relationships with fellow employees, County officials, contractors, and the public. The ideal candidate can solve problems and resolve conflict with minimal supervision and will have a working knowledge of policies and regulations (local, state, and federal) related to permitting and land development.
Salary commensurate with experience.
Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or department-related area and four (4) years of progressively responsible work experience to include three (3) years of supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be able to occasionally work outside of normal business hours.
