Job Description

Join a dynamic team of 5 clinical and forensic psychologists whose primary responsibilities are to conduct all civil commitment independent examinations in Loudoun County and respond to court orders to conduct psychological evaluations from all Loudoun County Courts.

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as the primary independent examiner for civil commitment hearings. As such, you will work closely with the other psychologists.
  • Conduct forensic psychological evaluations. Training will be provided by staff and through the Institute of Law, Psychiatry, and Public Policy (University of Virginia) and other notable training institutions (e.g., the American Academy of Forensic Psychology). 

The full compensation range for this part time position is provided. Hiring salary will be commensurate with experience.

Job Requirements

  • Doctorate degree in Psychology; one (1) year of related work experience in mental health and/or substance use treatment. 
  • Virginia licensure as a psychologist

Special Requirements

  • This part-time position requires availability on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
  • Must be fitted for N-95 (or similar) mask to safely provide on-site services as needed

Post Conditional Offer Contingencies

Employment is contingent upon successfully passing pre-employment background check to include fingerprinting, credit, NCIC, DMV and TB test. Must have a good driving record and a valid driver's license in Virginia or regional state of residence.
