TRANSIT LOGISTICS ANALYST

Loudoun County's Department of Transportation and Capital Infrastructure (DTCI) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Transit Logistics Analyst. Loudoun County has experienced unparalleled growth for many years, resulting in the expansion of Metro Rail services and additional Loudoun Transit Routes to multiple locations within the County and the Washington Metropolitan area. This position uses data that has been validated by the Transit Data Analyst for multiple purposes, such as recommending bus route and stop improvements. The Transit Logistics Analyst will also enter and maintain routing and timetable information in the transit software systems. The position works with applicable vendors to maintain the real-time information system. The selected candidate will collaborate with transit team members on service adjustments based on system performance assessments. The Transit Logistics Analyst reports to the Senior Transit Operations Manager.

The successful candidate will excel in problem-solving, critical decision making, communicating verbally and in writing, managing several projects simultaneously, working independently and with other team members, and providing prompt and effective customer service to various stakeholders.

Experience with route design and scheduling software is preferred but not required.

This position is eligible for telework.
Salary commensurate with experience. 

Bachelor's Degree in Transportation or Logistics Management, Transportation Planning, Transportation Engineering, or directly related programs; two (2) years of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
