Loudoun County Department of Family Services seeks a dedicated and experienced professional leader for its Child Protective Services (CPS) Supervisor positions.
The successful candidate will join the Department of Family Services which envisions better health, safety, and well-being for all and supports individuals and families in the community to live their best lives while advocating for those most vulnerable and respecting their right to self-determination. This critical supervisory position directs and supports the work of the Senior Family Services Specialist and Family Services Specialists. The Specialists investigate or assess allegations of child abuse or neglect and document them within mandated timeframes and identify and refer families to appropriate services to prevent recurrence of abuse or neglect. Under the direction of a Program Manager serving with a peer supervisory team, this position provides leadership and oversight of the Child Protective Services program. Clinical supervision is available to eligible employees upon hire.

Hiring salary is commensurate with experience
The job requirements include: A bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or a directly related field; four (4) years of professional work experience in child, family, adult, or aging welfare or social services setting to include one (1) year of supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred:
Successful candidates will respond to community crisis as directed, possess a valid resident driver's license, and undergo driving record, child protective services, and criminal background checks.
