INTERIOR DESIGNER

Loudoun County's Department of General Services is currently seeking a full-time Interior Designer for the Space Planning & Design program. This position will be an integral part of the team to space plan and design all department offices that are part of Loudoun County.

This position works with Architect/Engineering contracts and end-user programs; performs design concepts including, but not limited to, design drawings with multiple options, finish palette options, and furniture options; participates and helps with planning & design presentations; stays within the design budget according to contracting procedures and guidelines; assists all end-user needs to transition to a new renovated building, to include moving, temporary services and all furniture, fixtures and equipment selection and procurement. Successful candidates will possess excellent written, verbal, and 2D & 3D drawing skills, and have the ability to effectively communicate ideas clearly and concisely.

Bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design, or related field; three (3) years of related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Valid driver's license and good driving record are required.  May be required to work after regularly scheduled hours.  Must be able to inspect existing facilities and active construction projects; may require walking or maneuvering through tight spaces.  May be exposed to inclement weather or safety hazards while outside the office/at field sites.

Pass criminal background, fingerprinting, credit, and DMV checks.
