Loudoun County Family Services is seeking a dedicated, energetic, and established professional candidate for the Protective Services Hotline Unit. The Department supports individuals and families in the community to live their best lives while advocating for those most vulnerable and respecting their right to self-determination.
The successful candidate will join the Protective Services Hotline Unit in a diverse department that envisions better health, safety, and well-being for all. This Protective Services Hotline team consists of a CPS Supervisor, this Family Services Specialist Senior Worker, and four (4) Family Services Specialists. The successful candidate will be a part of a diverse department that envisions better health, safety, and well-being for all. The Senior Protective Services Hotline Specialist will serve as the Senior Worker team-lead providing technical guidance, support, and training to the Protective Services Hotline Specialists, and supervision of interns, on a dynamic team responding to the needs of our most vulnerable children and families.
The ideal candidate should have the following:
Hiring salary is commensurate with experience.
Bachelor's degree in Sociology, Public Administration, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field (Master's degree preferred); three (3) years of related work experience in a social service field or child/adult welfare department; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred:
Master's Degree Bi-lingual skills in Spanish and English.
Pass pre-employment background checks to include criminal, credit, Child Protective Services (CPS), and DMV. Valid driver's license and good driving record (driving records may be reviewed annually for continued qualification).
