Loudoun County, Virginia, one of the fastest growing counties in the nation, is currently seeking applicants for the position of Team Leader/Assistant Program Manager for the Infrastructure Compliance Team of the Engineering Division of the Department of Building and Development.
As the Infrastructure Compliance Assistant Program Manager you will lead a team of three personnel with oversight of bond management (bond releases, reductions and extensions), public street acceptance, private streets and commercial sites bond releases, default projects construction management, individual lot grading permits, and engineering complaints.
Candidates must have a comprehensive knowledge of VDOT design standards and specifications, Loudoun County's Facilities Standards Manual, pavement design, material testing, construction project management, civil engineering projects cost estimates, surveying, E&S standards, utility plans, field inspections, specifications and construction documents, and review of as-built drawings to assure compliance with approved plans.
Successful candidates must possess excellent written and verbal skills. The ability to provide technical guidance and conduct meetings with citizens, applicants, industry representatives, County departments, and outside agencies is essential.
Duties include: oversight of three engineering inspectors, main point of contact with VDOT and development community for VDOT Street Acceptance, process road abandonment applications, review of bond release documents submissions, manage construction projects in default, and monitor engineering complaints resolutions.
Salary commensurate with experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a four-year college or university accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technologies; two (2) years of progressively responsible work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preference given to applicants with familiarity with State and County regulations, VDOT design standards and specifications, Loudoun County Facilities Standards Manual, personnel management experience, and administrative experience. Must possess a valid driver's license.
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record. Must be able to inspect existing sites and active construction projects and may be exposed to inclement weather while in the field.
The successful candidate will undergo background checks for criminal, credit, and driving record history.
