Loudoun County's Department of General Services is currently seeking a full-time Space Planner to be part of the Space Planning, Policy, and Renovation division.
This newly created position will be an integral part of the Space Planning & Design team to gather analytical data, create space planning scenarios to include operational and financial needs, and help develop space planning strategies and master planning for all of the County departmental office space and facility needs.
Essential job functions of the Space Planner include, but are not limited to:
•Completes research and analysis on space planning needs within County departments and facilities through the conduct of qualitative and quantitative programming exercises with end users.
•Creates draft presentations to be delivered to the Space Planning Committee formulated from the results of research and analysis.
•Tracks, tallies, and organizes County furniture assets in storage and in use in County facilities using software and databases.
•Monitors, records, and maintains department space locations and allocations within buildings throughout the County.

Bachelor’s degree in Space Planning, Interior Design, Architecture, or related field; two (2) years of related work experience in space planning; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications and software related to databases, architecture, and/or interior design are essential. Prefer prior experience with CAD, REVIT, and Adobe Suite.
Salary Commensurate with Experience
Valid driver's license and good driving record are required. Subject to work, as needed, beyond the scheduled workday and subject to recall.
Successful candidate will undergo pre-employment criminal and DMV background checks, to include criminal justice information system (CJIS) fingerprinting.
