Job Description

We are seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Youth Initiative Specialist. Youth Initiative Specialist plan, develops and oversees teen activities, including the Youth Advisory Council (YAC), the Battle of the Bands, and other teen programs. Specialists will oversee volunteers and budget, analyzing program effectiveness. A successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter with leadership capabilities and effective communication skills. PRCS serves a diverse population including but not limited to youth, adults, individuals with disabilities, and seniors.

We are currently hiring at the following location: 

  • PRCS, 742 Miller Dr, Leesburg, VA

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Develop and promote programs for teens. 
  • Coordinate special events and logistics, including event promotion. 
  • Manage and plan for the Youth Advisory Council (YAC) meetings and activities.
  • Operates a passenger vehicle as necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Salary commensurate with experience

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a field related to the assigned program or department; one (1) year related work experience with some lead or supervisory experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Special Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working with teens. 
  • Previous work in planning large events.

  • Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
