Loudoun County's Department of Transportation and Capital Infrastructure (DTCI) is seeking a talented and highly motivated construction professional to serve as a Construction Field Representative. This position will assist in the administration and on-site inspection of the work performed on complex road and transportation projects during construction and post-construction phases to ensure the work is executed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and the project schedule.
The Construction Field Representative will serve as a liaison between the contractor and engineer of record and work with the County's Construction Manager to review the quality of the work performed during construction. Additional responsibilities will be to ensure all inspections are scheduled, performed, and recorded to include all regulatory agencies and third-party inspections.
Prior VDOT inspection experience on road projects is preferred. The Construction Field Representative is an hourly position as a part of a 37.5-hour work week. Work outside normal business hours may be required from time to time when dictated by a project's construction schedule.

High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred); four (4) years of related work experience with building trades or construction; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Candidate must possess a valid driver's license.
Must be able to inspect existing sites and active construction projects, often requiring walking or climbing elevated structures and uneven surfaces.
May be exposed to inclement weather while in the field.
Non-standard work hours may be required in limited situations.
