Job Description

Loudoun County Fire and Rescue is seeking qualified applicants for a Human Resources Assistant in the Volunteer Support and Administration Division.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Provide administrative support in the HR functions for volunteers
  • Provide customer service in specialty areas and refer appropriately as needed.
  • Conduct Volunteer HR training for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Responsible for processing, tracking, and distributing the technical HR components of onboarding and some benefits for prospective, active, retired, and family of deceased volunteers.
  • Receives, verifies, and authorizes hiring of new volunteers.
  • Enters and tracks data in spreadsheets and specialized programs and saves appropriate documentation, into repositories.
  • Processes Tuition Reimbursement Program requests and reimbursements.

Hiring salary commensurate with experience. 

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent and four (4) years of related clerical/administrative work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prefer experience as a volunteer in a Fire-Rescue agency.
