Loudoun County's Department of General Services is seeking qualified applicants to fill Systems Maintenance Technician II vacancies within the Facilities Support Division.
The successful candidate will respond promptly and directly to work requests; diagnose, initiate, and complete minor mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repairs in County Government facilities; receive and close-out work requests by computer and/or hand-held electronic device; inspect facilities and report HVAC, plumbing, and electrical problems or unsafe conditions; and routinely meet with County employees and supervisors when responding to work requests. Must provide superior customer service at all times.

High School diploma or equivalent; two (2) years of related work experience in MEP trades (mechanical, electrical, plumbing); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Hold or obtain CFC License (universal refrigerant recovery) and forklift license within six (6) months of hire.
•Prefer one to two years of Building Automation Systems (BAS) experience.
•Prefer Community College HVAC & Refrigeration program certificate (one-year program).
•Prefer a state-issued Journeyman level certification, AWS welding certification, North American Technician Excellence (NATE) Master Level, Skills USA, and/or specialized systems manufacturer trainings.
Salary Commensurate with Experience
•A valid driver's license and good driving record is required.
•Must be able to work in extreme temperatures and lift up to 70 lbs.
•Some work may be hazardous due to location or type of work.
•Subject to recall or being held beyond scheduled workday.
•Must be available to respond to County emergencies (24/7) as directed in accordance with Department policy and written or verbal directive.
•Requires on-call response to out-of-hour emergency/priority work requests on a rotating basis at one-week intervals approximately every six (6) weeks.
Successful candidates will undergo pre-employment criminal, credit, and DMV record background checks, to include criminal justice information system (CJIS) fingerprinting.
