We are seeking qualified applicants for Middle School Program Assistant. This position will provide support to the afterschool programs and summer camp and substitute for various children's programs. The successful candidate will demonstrate teamwork, flexibility, and attention to detail. PRCS serves a diverse population including but not limited to youth, adults, individuals with disabilities, and seniors.

We are currently hiring at the following location:

  • PRCS 742 Miller Drive, Leesburg VA

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Provide timely customer service to staff, vendors, citizens, and other visitors. 
  • Provide administrative support for special projects, functions, and meetings. 
  • Maintain files, supply ordering, assist with staff scheduling. 
  • May perform other essential job functions specific to position and department assignments including but not limited to covering shifts for CASA, Camps, and YAS sites.

*Successful candidates must be able to work flexible schedule, to include mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends, according to program schedule and or needs.*

Job Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent; one (1) year of related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Virginia State licensing requires 6 months experience supervising children during recreational or educational activities. 

Special Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Physically able to keep up with young children and be able to lift 50 pounds. 
  • Strong communication skills.

Post Conditional Offer Contingencies

  • Valid driver's license.
  • Fingerprinting.
  • TB test within 30 days of hire.
  • Pass Child Protective Services (CPS) check.
  • Hold or obtain First Aid/CPR certifications at hire or within four (4) months.
