Job Description

Loudoun County’s Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services is currently seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Passenger Vehicle Operator. The Passenger Vehicle Operator will be assisting and supporting transportation to and from homes for members of the Senior Center of Leesburg. The successful candidate will exceed customer expectations and focus on customer service. The candidate will foster relationships with positive and effective communication.

PRCS serves a diverse population including but not limited to youth, adults, individuals with disabilities, and seniors.
We are currently hiring at the following location:

  • North Street Senior Center in Leesburg, VA

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain vehicle records and reports.
  • Responsible for keeping and maintaining a bus that is clean and running properly.
  • Transports clients and assist with planning activities.

Salary Commensurate with Experience

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; one (1) year of related work experience; or equivalent
    combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds


Special Requirements


  • Experience working with the senior population preferred.

Post Conditional Offer Contingencies

  • Pass criminal and DMV background checks and complete a pre-employment drug screen prior to hire.
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • CDL(Class C with Passenger endorsement) learner’s permit within 3 months and license within 6 months of hire.
  • Must comply with the DOT regulations and Alcohol and Controlled Substance Testing Policy for Transportation Employees.
  • First Aid/CPR/AEDrequired within 60 days after hire.
  • OSHA(Bloodborne pathogens) training required within 30 days of hire
  • TB test required no earlier than 30 days before or no later than seven days after hire.
