We are seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Customer Service Specialist. This position is responsible for providing customer service under the general direction of the Front Desk Supervisor. As part of this position, you will provide information to customers, collect fees, register them for classes and events, and assist with data entry and administrative tasks. An ideal candidate would exhibit excellent customer service skills, be able to communicate effectively, and have a positive attitude. PRCS serves a diverse population including but not limited to youth, adults, individuals with disabilities, and seniors.

We are currently hiring at the following location: 

  • Dulles South Recreation Center and Community Center, South Riding, VA

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Provides courteous and timely customer service to customers, staff, vendors, and other visitors. 
  • Processes program and entry fees, schedules classes, events, and rentals, and collect fees.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; one (1) year of related work experience in a clerical position involving contact with the public and working with automated systems; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Special Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with computerized registration or fee collection systems, ability to communicate concisely and positively.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

  • Criminal background, credit checks, and DMV records check are required.
  • Valid driver's license. 
  • Hold a Virginia State Notary Public Certificate or be eligible to obtain one within the first six months, if required for position.
