Job Description

The Loudoun County's Office of the Treasurer is currently seeking highly qualified applicants for a Deputy of Operations and Compliance. This is a senior management position that supervises five Supervisor's and their teams: Cashier, Information Services, Collections and Tax Accounts staff located in the Leesburg and Sterling Treasurer's Offices.

The successful candidate must be detailed oriented, Microsoft Office proficient with strong working knowledge of Excel, possess excellent verbal and written communications skills, and be competent in handling high level complex workloads in a deadline-oriented role. Must be capable to work independently, demonstrating superior problem-solving skills, flexibility, multi-tasking, be familiar with developing procedures, and capable of working in call center environment and office environment.

The position will be responsible for implementing strategic plans and administering processes for county wide tax collections which include real estate, personal property, business license taxes and various payment applications. Essential functions will include working with the County Attorney's Office to revise or develop new County Ordinances. Serving on the Legislative Review Panel Exercising professional care with confidential information. Ensuring compliance with all state and local codes. Testing and maintaining systems. Implementing revenue collection processes. Ensuring audit and financial controls are in place and receipting processes are properly implemented Authorizing Wire Transfers, ACH Payments and Request for Payments. Assisting in planning short-term and long-term strategic development and providing leadership to achieve goals. Managing staff performance.

Hiring Range: $77,732.01 - $108,824.82, commensurate with experience.

Job Requirements

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Finance, or related field and three (3) years professional-level experience, to include one (1) year of supervisory experience and knowledge of State Code and Treasurer implemented systems. Prior experience working with billing systems, customer service or call centers, and Oracle in a medium to large organization is desirable. Supervisory experience must be indicated on application for consideration. Bilingual Spanish/English encouraged.

Special Requirements

Certified Administrative Professional (CAP), Project Management (PMP), Local Government Management Certificate, VGFOA Certification Program, Master Governmental Deputy Treasurer (MGDT) preferred.
