Job Description

Are you looking for a rewarding position that will challenge you? Do you have a passion for working with people of all ages? Then this could be the position you’ve been looking for! PRCS has an immediate opening for a Recreation Program Coordinator at Dulles South Recreation and Community Center in South Riding, VA. As a Program Coordinator, you will oversee and supervise various program areas such as Licensed Programs, Recreation Programs, and Building Services, supervise staff and volunteers, and manage facility operations in the absence of the facility manager. The successful candidate will have a positive mindset, excellent customer service skills, and attention to detail.
 
Top priorities for this position include:
 
• Manages automated tracking and reporting of registration, payments, and budgets
• Recruit and recommend program staff for hire
• Monitor center users and ensure a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment.
• Oversee the developments and implementation of programming to ensure quality and diverse programs
• Create marketing materials to promote programs and special events
• Resolve customer issues, questions, and concerns
The work schedule varies and includes evenings & weekends to meet facility needs.

Job Requirements

• Associate degree in a field related to the assigned program or department; two (2) years related work experience such as recreation, fitness, programming or education; or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Driver’s License required

Salary Commensurate with Experience

Special Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
 
• Membership in the Virginia Recreation and Park Society professional organization is preferred

Post Conditional Offer Contingencies

• Certification in First Aid, CPR within four (4) months of hire.
• Negative TB test result required within 30 days of hire.
• Criminal background, Fingerprinting, Child Protective Services (CPS) checks, credit history, and DMV check required.
