PRCS- Creating Community through People, Parks and Programs
The Department of Parks, Recreation, and Community Services is currently seeking qualified applicants for a full time Athletic Field Renovation Coordinator. This position will provide support to multiple areas within the department such as the planning and management of special projects and events, playground maintenance, renovation, as well as other grounds and facility maintenance. The successful candidate will develop and oversee the production plan, budget and completion schedule, secure permits and purchase orders, administer contracts and obtain all necessary inspections.
Other duties of the Athletic Field Renovation Coordinator include:
-Developing and overseeing a athletic field renovation program and the ability to monitor several projects at once.
-Supervising irrigation system installation and maintenance, including troubleshooting assistance.
-Operating laser grading equipment and setup.
-Performing or scheduling preventative maintenance on all equipment.
-Providing support for special event set-up, tournament ball field preparation, snow removal and emergency response.
-Some indoor maintenance tasks assigned. Moderate physical effort, including lifting, will be required. Must be willing to work flexible schedule which may vary and include weekday, early mornings, evening, and weekend hours for required special events.

High School diploma or equivalent with coursework in building trades and grounds maintenance; three (3) years of related work experience in landscaping, building trades, and grounds maintenance; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Hiring Range: $44,916.74- $60,637.60
Salary Commensurate with Experience
Hold or obtain a Class A CDL with airbrake and tanker endorsement required within 6 months of hire. First Aid Certification or the ability to obtain certification within 4 months of hire required.
Membership in Virginia Recreation and Park Society (VRPS) and OSHA certification as a forklift operator preferred.

This position requires a valid driver's license, driving record (driving records may be reviewed annually for continued qualification), credit, and criminal background checks. Positions that prefer a CDL must comply with the Alcohol and Controlled Substances Testing program as outlined by Loudoun County's Alcohol and Controlled Substance Testing Policy for Transportation Employees.
