MAILROOM COURIER - SUBSTITUTE

Job Description

The Loudoun County Department of General Services is currently seeking qualified applicants to fill a part-time substitute Courier position within the Management Support Services Division.

The successful candidate will provide assistance in accurately sorting inter-departmental mail, USPS mail items, and other deliverables to County offices; ensure mail is delivered on a timely basis consistent with established delivery schedule; assist in operating mail-metering equipment; and will ensure the appropriate department is charged correct postal rates. Flexible day schedule working approximately 10-15 hours per week, with additional hours possible.

 

Job Requirements

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school. Prefer at least 6 months related work experience in a mailroom or postal service environment with accountability of materials.

 

Salary Commensurate with Experience

Special Requirements

Valid driver's license is required.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check and DMV record check.
