The Loudoun County Department of Information Technology (DIT) is currently seeking a talented, highly motivated individual for a long term temporary opportunity as the Tech Lead on a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) replacement project for the County's Electronic Health Records (EHR) system. The Tech Lead will work with the Mental Health, Substance Abuse & Developmental Services (MHSADS) department and the project's vendor to lead the implementation of the new EHR system.
Duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Work with the County's Project manager and the Vendor project manager to fill the role of the technical lead on the project.- Work with the department of Information Technology and the vendor technical staff to lead the successful implementation of the technical and security requirements for the project. - Communicate proactively with all involved to identify problems, create solutions, and implement improvements. - Develop a thorough understanding of the Statement of Work for the program (which will be provided upon joining the team), and work with the vendor to ensure that all technical tasks are built into the schedule. - Work with the vendor on a daily basis to ensure that the technical and functional system requirements, use cases, and performance considerations developed for the envisioned EHR (Electronic Health Records System) solution environment are implemented according to schedule and the SOW and report any concerns to your DIT Supervisor as well as the PM for the Program. - Serve as a liaison between the vendor, MHSADS and the individual technical teams within DIT. - Understand how the vendor is implementing the technical solution and raise any questions, concerns or risks to the DIT management team. - Ensure consistent and regular reviews of progress and escalation of any risks or deviation from the plan with recommendations and mitigation strategies. - Ensure that technical products developed by the vendor are reviewed by DIT experts. Develop a Project Plan for DIT staff to provide support to this program as needed, for document review or brainstorming technical solutions that fit the County's IT environment. - Ensure system technical documentation / reporting is complete, meaningful and aligns with project objectives and timelines.
