The newly formed Office of Housing is currently seeking a talented, highly motivated individual to serve as the DataBase and Systems Analyst. The successful candidate will have a thorough knowledge of housing and human services data systems, share a passion for local government, prioritize problem solving and collaboration, and thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. Must have a team-oriented approach, extremely strong analytical and technical skills, a proven record of excellent customer service, and a desire to innovate. The job requires a strong understanding of data governance specifically as it relates to federal reporting. This position is designed to ensure the accuracy of data collection for the Office's various programs, support the Office's goal to make programmatic decisions based on data, and provide technical support. Must have ability to develop and modify reports utilizing multiple data sources to meet Federal, State and local reporting requirements. While technical experience is integral to the position, it is equally important that the DataBase and Systems Analyst be a strong communicator, relationship-builder, educator and advocate of data. Must be purpose-driven. Must be able to prepare analytical reports and explain the results.
Primary responsibilities for this position include:
Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and two (2) years of related experience.
Requires proficiency in Microsoft programs, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe, SQL, Crystal reporting systems, and Harmony as well as excellent analytical, technical, written, verbal, communication, presentation, and customer service skills in working with County and contractor staff in training, troubleshooting, correcting data entry and database errors, and documenting processes and procedures. Experience with HUD reporting systems a plus.
