Job Description

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is seeking qualified applicants for a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Coordinator position located in the Administrative and Technical Services Division.

This position will process and coordinate responses to FOIA, Subpoena Duces Tecum, and other official requests for the agency, ensuring compliance with all laws and regulations. This position will also manage and maintain all requests and records, as well as ensure compliance of documents being maintained and/or released. The FOIA Coordinator must be proficient with the Freedom of Information Act, state laws, and/or policies of the Sheriff's Office that pertain to the dissemination of information, specifically the release of law enforcement and criminal records.

The applicant should possess effective oral and written communication skills, strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

HIRING RANGE: $24.67-$33.31

SALARY COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE

Job Requirements

Requires high school diploma or equivalent; four (4) years of related clerical/administrative work; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preference will be given to those applicants with higher education and/or previous FOIA or paralegal experience.
