Job Description

PRCS- Creating Community through People, Parks and Programs

Loudoun County's Department of Parks, Recreation & Community Services is currently seeking qualified applicants for our Distance Learning Child Care Leader positions. The Distance Learning Child Care program offers all-day child care for children in grades K-6. Positions are available at various locations in Loudoun County. School-day sessions run from 7:40 am until 2:30 pm and the after-school, recreation-based program is available from 2:30 pm until 6:00 pm.

Distance Learning Child Care Leaders will:

  • Provide support in the planning and implementation of recreational activities, meal times and recess
  • Monitor and assist students as they complete their distance learning
  • Safeguard students and staff by helping to ensure all safety measures are being followed

Candidates must be physically able to keep up with young children and be able to lift 50 pounds. Distance Learning Child Care Leaders will be operating under the following shifts: 7:30 am-11:30 am, 11:00 am -3 pm, OR 2:00 pm-6:00 pm

Job Requirements

  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a High School Diploma
  • 6 months experience supervising children during recreational or educational activities

Special Requirements

These positions are temporary, and are only needed while distance learning is being conducted for the 2020-2021 school year.

Post Conditional Offer Contingencies

  • Must undergo a Child Protective Services (CPS) and criminal background check
