The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is seeking qualified applicants for a Senior Cook position located within the Adult Detention Center. Major job duties include:
- Ability to instruct and supervise unskilled inmates in the preparation and cooking of meals for the inmates confined within the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.
- Cleaning the kitchen after all meals are served.
- Ensure all meals are served at scheduled times and are in compliance with the standards set by the Virginia Department of Corrections for food service as well as The National Academy of Sciences dietary requirements, and follow menus prepared by a certified dietitian.
- Ability to work in a secure environment and rotating work schedule within the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.
Requires a High School diploma or equivalent and one (1) year job related work experience, preferably in preparation of food service; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must become CPR and First Aid certified within 90 days of employment, and obtain the food "ServSafe Certification" within the first year of employment.
