The Loudoun County Department of General Services is seeking qualified applicants to fill a one year, full time, long-term temporary surplus assistant position within the Management Support Services Division. The successful candidate will assist with the receiving and preparation of surplus sale items; screen serviceable conditioned items for distribution between all County departments; assist with the inventory and destruction of confidential records stored at the Records Center; and greet and assist internal and external customers in a courteous, positive, and helpful manner.
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and two (2) years of work experience. Prefer at least six (6) months of directly-related work experience in a warehouse or an environment with accountability of materials and records. Prefer previous customer service experience. Must be able to lift 60 lbs.
Valid driver's license is required. Must be able to become certified to operate the JLG lift within 60 days of employment.
