Job Description

Full-time position with the Court and Correctional Services Program with the Department of Mental Health, Substance Abuse and Developmental Services (MHSADS) conducting a variety of psychological evaluations ordered by the Loudoun County Courts and serving as an Independent Evaluator for civil commitment proceedings.

Duties could include providing supervision with the APA-accredited internship program and providing consultation on Mental Health Docket.  The forensic team currently include three Psychologist with decades of forensic experience who can provide supervision, if needed.  There are ample training opportunities through the Institute of Law, Psychiatry, and Public Policy at UVA, the American Association of Forensic Psychology, and other distinguished institutions.


Job Requirements

  • Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology; and
  • Licensure or license-eligibility in Virginia.

Special Requirements

A doctorate specialty in Forensic Psychology and/or completion of an internship or clinical residency in Forensic Psychology preferred.

Post Conditional Offer Contingencies

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check, credit check, driving record check and TB test. Must have a valid driver’s license in Virginia or regional state of residence.
