Job Description

Loudoun County’s Department of Transportation and Capital Infrastructure (DTCI) is seeking a technology savvy, highly-motivated individual to serve as the e-Builder and Technology Specialist in an exciting and fast paced environment. Duties include systems administration support for DTCI’s project management software e-Builder, including structured workflow design, report and dashboard development, user profile set up, permissions oversight, template maintenance, Oracle/e-Builder integration maintenance, monthly training sessions, quality control and systems testing. The position will also serve as the e-Builder helpdesk for vendors and staff by troubleshooting issues related to financial processes such as change orders and pay applications; construction processes such as submittals and RFIs; workflow errors; password resets; document permissions issues; and more. Technology equipment and support including software and hardware issues, managing the Department’s mobile device and computer inventory, and coordinating with the Department of Information Technology (DIT) are also critical job duties for the position.

Job Requirements

Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in technology plus a minimum of three (3) years of work experience in a technology position or a construction-related position requiring technology expertise. Demonstrated experience in database management and/or project management SAAS solutions is also required. Experience in report development and workflow design is preferred. Knowledge of construction industry practices is desired as the successful candidate will provide helpdesk support, regular training, and systems administration for a construction project management software. Some familiarity with Loudoun County procurement and accounting processes is beneficial since project financial processes are handled through e-Builder. Finally, the successful candidate should be a team player with excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, possess creative problem solving skills, be customer service oriented, demonstrate a strong work ethic, and be comfortable with technology training and/or public speaking to small groups.
