Job Description

The Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney is seeking qualified applicants for a Victim Witness and Assistance Case Manager.

This position will be responsible for guiding and assisting victims and witnesses through the court process to include courtroom advocacy and advisement of rights. The case manager will conduct victim and witness outreach, including promoting awareness regarding crime victims through education; obtain information from victims and witnesses to provide documentation to the Supreme Court, Virginia Victims Fund; and prepare victim impact statements. Case Managers also act as a liaison between victims, witnesses, prosecuting attorneys, and other stakeholder agencies.

Job Requirements

Position requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Sociology, Victimology, or a related field and a minimum of two (2) years related experience in criminal justice or court system.

Special Requirements

Fluency in Spanish is preferred, but not required.
