Job Description

PRCS is seeking a Licensed Program Manager to join our team based in Leesburg, VA. Reporting to the Division Manager of Community Centers, top priorities for this position will include:

  • Controlling the central administration of applications and renewals
  • Representing the department as the primary point of contact for licensing
  • Overseeing the internal inspection of files and sites
  • Managing policies and procedures, to include creating uniformity and translating state regulations
  • Developing staff training and regulating requirements and scheduling
  • Providing program evaluations by identifying areas of deficiencies and quantifying data

Successful candidates must be able to work a 7.5 hour work day, between 7:00am-6:00pm, Monday-Friday; including occasional night or weekend events.

Job Requirements

  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree (Recreation, Education, or related field)
  • A minimum of three years job related experience in managing or directing an early childhood education program and developing training programs
  • Perform moderate physical activity to include lifting
  • Ability to work long hours, if necessary

Special Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Experience at the program management level or above, with a private or for-profit education/recreation organization
  • A minimum of one year management and/or administrative experience
  • Professional Early Childhood Educator
  • Certified Trainer for Early Childhood Educators
  • Membership in Virginia Recreation and Park Society

Post Conditional Offer Contingencies

  • Successful candidates will undergo criminal background, child protective services (CPS), DMV and credit checks 
  • Have and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Have upon hire, or obtain within the first four months of employment, First Aid and CPR Certification
  • Complete annual training as required by Virginia Licensing Standards
