We have regular and substitute positions available at various school sites in the County for the 2018-2019 school year. As a CASA (County After School Activities) Leader you will assist in the planning and implementation of recreational activities such as indoor and outdoor games, arts and crafts, holiday themed and special projects, as well as quieter activities like snack and homework time for children in grades K-5. Work hours are 2:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday, according to the school calendar, perfect for the college student looking for income while attending classes. Substitute positions are also available and allow for a more flexible schedule. Salary commensurate with experience. Please include all applicable paid or volunteer experience working with and/or supervising children in a child care, recreation or educational setting.
Requires education and experience equivalent to a High School diploma. Virginia State Licensing requires 6 months experience supervising children during recreational or educational activities.
Must have certification in First Aid, CPR for adult, infant and child, and a negative TB test prior to beginning work.
