Job Description

We currently have an opening for a full-time temporary IT Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Responding to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, electronically
  • Providing the highest level of customer service
  • Diagnosing and resolving complex technical hardware and software issues
  • Researching questions using available information resources
  • Advising user on appropriate action
  • Following standard help desk procedures
  • Logging all help desk interactions
  • Installing and configuring software
  • Redirecting problems to correct resource
  • Identifying and escalating situations requiring urgent attention
  • Tracking and routing problems and requests and document resolutions
  • Informing management of recurring problems
  • Staying current with system information, changes and updates
  • Working on special projects as required

Job Requirements

A combination of education and experience equivalent to a High School diploma and two years of related experience.   Familiarity with the fundamentals principles of ITIL /SLA, strong technical skills, creative and strategic approaches to problem solving, and an ability to tackle complex issues is strongly desired. Excellent Customer Service Skills, experience in developing strong customer relationships and managing customer expectations, and the ability to navigate a complex systems environment and optimize a return on IT investments is stronlgly preferred.
